The great Roman baths of Baiae, with the dome of the so-called Temple of Mercury.

Baiae was the most fashionable spa resort of ancient Rome. On the hillside you can visit the remains of the great baths, laid out on terraces overlooking the sea.The so-called Temple of Mercury is in fact a bath hall with an enormous dome, built before that of the Pantheon. Inside, the acoustics are astonishing.
