A church from 1556 inside Baia Castle, on the parade ground, with 16th- and 17th-century canvases and a view of the Aragonese castle.

Inside Baia Castle, overlooking the parade ground, stands this church built in 1556. It is dedicated to the Madonna del Pilar, depicted in the late 16th-century canvas on the high altar: looking at the background, we suggest searching for the view of the Aragonese castle. On the side altars are two 17th-century paintings, one with the Madonna of the Rosary between Saint Dominic and Saint Catherine, the other with Saint Barbara beside Saint John the Baptist and Saint Roch. A bust and two plaques commemorate the marquis Diego Quintano de Rosales, commander of the castle for twenty years. An inscription mentions the restoration ordered by Ferdinand IV in 1784.
