Villa Granito di Belmonte
- Visit: about 50 min

A villa on the royal road to Calabria in Ercolano, once home of the Prince of Belmonte, older than the Royal Palace of Portici.
The villa opens onto the royal road to Calabria, the road lined with the Vesuvian villas. It was the residence of Prince Gioacchino di Belmonte, who sold it in 1911.We like one detail: the building already existed before the Royal Palace of Portici, as shown by old plans and the famous map by the Duke of Noja.
