Villa delle Delizie

In the hamlet of Pastena, on the slopes of Monte Scorca and along the Amalfi coast road opened in 1850, stands the Villa delle Delizie, probably built in the 19th century. It is a typical example of a coastal residence, surrounded by cultivated terraces and gardens that descend towards the sea along stepped lanes.The building rises on several levels: the lower ones rest directly on the rock with an irregular plan, the upper ones project towards the sea and the top floor, with an attic, culminates in a panoramic turret with a decorated balustrade. On the road we notice the entrance with a pointed arch and a canopy in iron and coloured glass. The villa is only partly accessible, but deserves a look even from outside.
