The palace of the viceroys and the Bourbons on Piazza del Plebiscito, with the royal apartments and the court theatre.

The Royal Palace overlooks Piazza del Plebiscito and was the residence of the Spanish viceroys, the Bourbons and the House of Savoy. The grand staircase leads to the royal apartments, furnished with period furniture, tapestries and paintings.You can visit the Palatine Chapel and the court theatre, and from the terraces you look out over the port and Vesuvius. The palace is also home to the National Library of Naples.
