Sixteenth-century building that began as a workshop for the nuns of San Gregorio Armeno, then became an orphans' boarding school; today a cultural space.

In the San Lorenzo district, a stone's throw from San Gregorio Armeno, the former Asilo Filangieri was already a working building linked to the convent of the Benedictine nuns in 1572.After the First World War Countess Giulia Filangieri bought it and turned it into a boarding school for orphans and children from poor families. Today it is a lively cultural space open to the city, with performances, talks and workshops.
