The church of the Annunziata in Lioni, founded in 1579, with a large marble altar and statues of popular devotion.

Among Lioni's places of worship, the church of the Santissima Annunziata has ancient origins: it was built in 1579. The town, hit hard by the 1980 earthquake, has managed to preserve the memory of its churches, which remain landmarks for the community of the upper Ofanto valley.Inside, we are struck by the large marble altar, while popular devotion centres on the statues of Saint Rita and Saint Anne, considered among the most noteworthy works. We suggest going in at a relaxed pace and letting yourself be guided by the intimate atmosphere of this place.
