A merchant's palace on Borgo Scacciaventi, dating from the 16th-17th century, with an inner courtyard and a piperno-paved entrance hall.

This palace on the Borgo Scacciaventi is linked to the name of the Adinolfi, probably descendants of an important 16th-century merchant family: a wool merchant with this surname is already recorded in 1519. Its origins therefore date from between the 16th and 17th centuries, when Cava was a lively centre of weavers and craftsmen. The building is rectangular and encloses a quadrangular courtyard. The entrance hall, covered by a low barrel vault, has a floor of piperno slabs, while the courtyard is paved with cobblestones. We recommend glancing discreetly in from the entrance to catch the atmosphere of Cava's old merchant houses.
