Mingardo Beach

The longest beach in Marina di Camerota, wide and sandy, starting at the mouth of the Mingardo with a pine forest behind it.

Mingardo beach begins near the mouth of the river of the same name, just before Capo Palinuro, and is the first large beach of Marina di Camerota outside the town. It is the longest in the area: a series of beaches about seven kilometres long, in places up to 200 metres wide.Behind it lies a centuries-old pine forest offering shade in the hottest hours and walks among the Mediterranean scrub. The beach and seabed are mostly sandy, but the water becomes deep a few metres from the shore. We like it for swimming and windsurfing; it can be reached from several boardwalks and stairways along the coast road.
