Near Camigliano, a karst cave with stalactites and stalagmites, a place of worship since the Middle Ages, with frescoes attributed to lo Zingaro.

Near Camigliano, at about 120 metres above sea level, opens the Grotto of San Michele, a cave some forty metres long rich in stalactites and stalagmites. Like many caves dedicated to the Archangel, it has been used as a place of worship since the Middle Ages.We are pleased to discover that inside it preserves frescoes dating from the late 15th to the early 16th century, with the Madonna and Child between St Michael and another saint, attributed to Antonio Solario, known as lo Zingaro. We recommend visiting it to experience the meeting of nature and popular devotion.
