An Italian-style garden on two terraces in the Passiano hamlet, created in the 18th century for a stately villa.

In the upper part of the Passiano hamlet lies this garden linked to a stately villa, created in the first half of the 18th century. It was designed not only to embellish the residence but also to be productive, following a very practical idea of greenery. We like it because it shows clearly how the well-off families of the area lived, between elegance and working the land. The garden is laid out on two levels, in the style of the Italian garden. On the upper terrace some plants planted between 1860 and 1863 still survive, of considerable botanical interest, while the lower one is cultivated as a vegetable garden. We recommend combining the visit with a walk through the old streets of Passiano.
