Museum preserving the Christian artistic memory of the Campi Flegrei after the evacuation of the Rione Terra.

For centuries Pozzuoli had no need for a diocesan museum: the works of art were in the churches, starting with the cathedral of San Procolo on the Rione Terra. When fires and bradyseism led to the evacuation of the district, the idea arose of a museum to save its memory.A first section opened in 2000, and the museum later found its permanent home. We like it because it tells the Christian traditions of the Campi Flegrei. The Region lists it as open on request.
