An old confraternity founded in 1383, with a single-nave church, a stone bell tower and a majolica-covered dome.

This confraternity was founded in 1383 as a penitential brotherhood, breaking away from the church of Santa Maria a Toro, in whose sacristy it used to meet. Beside the chapel a hospice was also built to receive pilgrims. Over time it has been restored several times, most recently after the 1980 earthquake. The church has a single barrel-vaulted nave divided into three bays; above the marble altar remains the wooden frame of a 15th-century triptych, now kept elsewhere. We like the façade with its portal and niches in piperno and a blind rose window. We recommend looking up at the stone bell tower and the majolica dome.
