19th-century church in the hamlet of Mandre, begun in 1864 starting from the crypt, with an apse topped by an oval dome.
In the hamlet of Mandre, in Santa Maria a Vico, stands the Church of San Vincenzo Ferreri. Building work began in 1864 with the crypt, where the first Mass was celebrated as early as 1868: for several decades it was this underground space that housed parish life, while the upper church was being completed.We like the rectangular plan with the apse crowned by an oval dome. Inside we find three altars: the high altar dedicated to St Vincent Ferrer, the others to Our Lady of La Salette and St Joseph. Between 2022 and 2023 an extensive restoration consolidated the roofs, façades and interiors: we suggest visiting to appreciate its renewed look.
