The Church of San Sebastiano in Moiano holds Tommaso Giaquinto's Baroque fresco cycle and is known as the Sistine Chapel of the Sannio.

The Church of San Sebastiano was built between the 15th and 16th centuries and embellished after the plague of 1656. Thanks to the beauty of its decoration it is affectionately called the Sistine Chapel of the Sannio, and for us it is one of the loveliest surprises of the Caudina valley. The real treasure is the cycle of frescoes by Tommaso Giaquinto, a pupil of Luca Giordano, painted in the early 18th century: here we find the Concert of Angels, the Stories of Moses, the Annunciation to the Shepherds and the Expulsion of the Merchants, as well as scenes recalling the plague. We recommend taking all the time you need to look at the walls at leisure.
