Church · Pozzuoli (NA)

18th-century church in Pozzuoli born from the faithful's devotion to the Archangel Raphael, on the old chapel of Santa Caterina.
At the beginning of the 18th century the cult of the Archangel Raphael spread in Pozzuoli. A group of the faithful, gathered around a young priest, raised funds to dedicate a church to him, adapting the old chapel of St Catherine of Alexandria. The bishop ordered its transformation in 1743. We like it as an example of the artistic changes of the 18th century. The Region lists it as open on request.
