Church · Minori (SA)

10th-century church fronted by a seven-column portico, with a square apse and a bell tower crowned by a small dome.
This church in Minori dates back to the 10th century and is fronted by a portico with seven columns supporting vaults of different shapes. In the mid-18th century it partly collapsed: the columns and part of the portico probably belonged to the original building. We like this unusual entrance, which invites you inside.Inside there is a central nave flanked on the left by a smaller one, divided by pillars; a room on the right is perhaps what remains of a third nave. The apse is square and holds the altar with a painting of the Virgin. We recommend looking up at the bell tower, topped by a small dome resting on a cube.
