16th-century parish church in the main town of Omignano, dedicated to the patron St Nicholas of Bari.

In the main town of Omignano, the Church of San Nicola di Bari is the village's parish church and dates from the 16th century. Dedicated to the patron saint, it is the centre of the community's religious life, in the diocese of Vallo della Lucania. We suggest visiting while strolling through the hill village, with views over the Alento valley and towards Monte della Stella. We like coming here on the days of the patronal feast, when the village gathers around its saint and the square comes alive.
