Church of Roccapiemonte's patron, documented from 1081 and rebuilt in the 18th century, with the chapel of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

The Church of San Giovanni Battista is dedicated to the patron saint of Roccapiemonte and is among the oldest in the area: it already appears in a deed of donation of 1081 to the Badia di Cava. It has been rebuilt several times over the centuries; the most important works were completed in 1761, while in 1859 the transept arms were enlarged.Inside, we suggest visiting the recently restored chapel of Santa Maria delle Grazie, which holds an image of the Immaculate Conception. We like discovering in this church the layering of almost a thousand years of religious history, in a Sarno valley town long linked to the Cava abbey.
