Chapel from 1747 set into the 18th-century Palazzo Rienzo, with a pedimented façade and a stone statue of St Vitus.

Along Via De Sanctis we recommend looking for the Chapel of San Vito, built in 1747 at the wish of the archpriest Matteo Caolo and now part of the 18th-century Palazzo Rienzo. It is a small gem you discover while strolling through the centre of Padula. The façade, topped by a pediment, is marked by pilasters with Ionic capitals and crowned by a charming bell gable. Above all we like the stone statue of St Vitus placed above the portal's architrave, the work of the Padula sculptor Andrea Carrara and a sign of the talent of the local stonecutters.
