The castle of Angri, transformed by the Doria into a princely residence and now the town hall.

Castello Doria in Angri has a very old keep, perhaps of Roman origin. In 1290 Charles II of Anjou granted it to Pietro De Braheriis; in the 17th century Marcantonio Doria turned it into a princely residence. At the entrance is the gate with the Doria eagle, and the moat runs around it. Today it houses the town hall, and its park, with centuries-old trees and an artificial grotto, is the public garden.
