Biodiversity Museum of the Monti Lattari Regional Park

This museum centre presents the nature of the Monti Lattari as a great web of relationships between living beings, the environment and human communities. We especially like the seawater aquariums recreating the Tyrrhenian Sea, with octopuses, scorpionfish and sea urchins, and the freshwater ones devoted to amphibians.The route continues with a collection of fossils telling the geological history of the area and with sedimentary and volcanic rocks and minerals, the latter coming from the nearby Vesuvian and Phlegraean volcanoes. The visit ends with simple, functional objects from rural life. We recommend this museum for a family visit.
