A Neo-Gothic church consecrated in 1865 for the British community of Naples, designed by the English architect Thomas Smith.

This church tells a piece of 19th-century history: only in 1860 did Giuseppe Garibaldi grant Anglicans freedom of worship, and the large British community living in the city was finally able to build its own place of prayer. A bilingual plaque in Italian and English on the façade recalls the event. After a competition open to Neapolitan and English architects, the project was entrusted to Thomas Smith, and the building was consecrated in 1865.We like its Neo-Gothic style, unusual in the Neapolitan landscape: the façade is fronted by a portico with pointed arches and opens with a large pointed window and two side mullioned windows. Inside, three naves are divided by pillars, and on the inner façade appear the patrons of England, Saint Margaret and Saint George.
