Along Corso Sirena, in Barra, in the grounds of Villa Spinelli di Scalea, stands an elegant Neoclassical lodge, considered among the most beautiful in the area and part of the Vesuvian villas of the Miglio d'Oro.It is among the best-preserved villas in Barra and now houses a religious institute. It also keeps a fine garden full of plants: a small example of aristocratic country living on the outskirts of Naples.
