1817 Neoclassical villa in the Vomero, residence of Francesco Ricciardi, Count of Camaldoli.

In the Vomero, Villa Ricciardi was built around 1817 as the residence of Francesco Ricciardi, a lawyer from Pistoia and minister under Joachim Murat, who gave him the title of Count of Camaldoli. It was one of the most beautiful and extensive estates on the hill, surrounded by enormous gardens. Today it remains a testimony to the Vomero before urbanisation.
