Villa Rocca Matilde in Posillipo, by the sea, on the site of the 17th-century palazzo of chancellor d'Acunto.

At the foot of Posillipo, by the sea, Villa Rocca Matilde stands on the remains of the 17th-century palazzo of chancellor Orazio d'Acunto. In the 18th century it was known as Villa Firmian, because the Austrian ambassador lived here; it later became Villa Peirce, after the Irish shipowner who owned it. One of the most elegant silhouettes on the coast.
