Sixteenth-century chapel inside Castel Capuano, with Mannerist frescoes by Pedro de Rubiales, a pupil of Vasari.

Inside Castel Capuano, the historic seat of the law courts, lies hidden the chapel of the Sommaria, commissioned in 1540 by the viceroy Don Pedro de Toledo.Between 1547 and 1548 the Spanish painter Pedro de Rubiales, a pupil of Giorgio Vasari, decorated it with frescoes in the softest, most luminous colours: they are considered the liveliest expression in Naples of Tuscan-Roman Mannerism. On the vault, elegant stucco work. A discovery for anyone visiting the castle.
