Sanctuary of the Madonna dei Cerri in Monte San Giacomo
- Visit: about 20 min

Mountain church dedicated to the Madonna of Constantinople, built in the late 18th–early 19th century where an old wayside shrine stood.
This mountain church, dedicated to the Madonna of Constantinople and known as Santa Maria dei Cerri, was built between the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century. The cult, however, is older: a wayside shrine already stood here, which in the 16th century gave the place the name of Santa Maria delli Valloni.Only after the church was built did the old name give way to the present one. We like its link with the lives of the farmers, who climbed up here every day to work the fields and found a point of reference in the church. We recommend reaching it on foot, enjoying the peace of the surrounding woods.
