A lively square in the historic centre that preserves, in an excavation area, remains of the 4th-century BC Greek walls of Neapolis.

Piazza Bellini is one of the most popular evening meeting places in the historic centre of Naples, but we like it above all for what it holds at its centre: an excavation area where you can see the remains of the Greek walls built in the 4th century BC to protect ancient Neapolis. A leap of over two thousand years just steps from the café tables.Looking around, at the far end of the square rises the theatrical staircase of the convent of Sant'Antonio a Port'Alba, while on the Via Costantinopoli side stands Palazzo Firrao, with its Baroque façade enlivened by sculptures. We recommend coming at sunset, when the square fills with life.
