Parco Virgiliano

A large panoramic park at the top of Posillipo, laid out in the 1930s, with views over the gulfs of Naples and Pozzuoli.

At the top of the Posillipo hill, the Parco Virgiliano is one of our favourite viewpoints. It covers about 92,000 square metres and was laid out in the 1930s on a height overlooking the sea. From here the view takes in the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Pozzuoli, in a truly memorable panorama. The park is also called the Parco della Rimembranza (Remembrance Park), because it was dedicated to those who fell in the Great War. We recommend coming here towards sunset and walking along the avenues to the points that look out most over the gulf.
