18th-century palazzo in Mergellina, bought in 1785 by Ferdinand IV as a fishing lodge.

On via Mergellina, Palazzo Torlonia probably dates from the 18th century: it already appears in a painting from 1739 and on the 1775 map.Around 1785 it was bought by King Ferdinand IV, the "lazzarone king", to use as a fishing lodge, his great passion. Today it overlooks the little harbour, one of the most beautiful spots for a sunset stroll.
