18th-century palazzo in the Rione Sanità that Ferdinando Sanfelice designed for himself, with the famous "hawk's wings" staircase.

In the Rione Sanità, between 1724 and 1728 the architect Ferdinando Sanfelice designed his own home, outside the city walls where the air was healthier. The palazzo is famous for its scenographic open staircases, including the "hawk's wings" one, a symbol of Neapolitan Baroque and often used as a film set. Let's look through the doorway on via Sanità: it is a sight to behold.
