In the centre of Orta di Atella, Palazzo San Massimo, once the 18th-century Migliaccio residence, with an Art Nouveau façade and a courtyard with a fountain.

Next to the parish church of San Massimo Vescovo, in the old town of Orta di Atella, stands Palazzo San Massimo, built in the early 18th century as the home of the Migliaccio family, whose coat of arms with two rampant lions and ears of millet survives. Bought by the parish in 2009, it was inaugurated in 2020 after a long restoration. We like the Art Nouveau (Liberty) façade with pilasters and capitals, together with the 18th-century wrought-iron balconies. We recommend looking into the courtyard, with its fountain in cast iron, marble and piperno stone, and observing in the entrance hall the tombstones of Orta families dated between 1625 and 1738, small testimonies of local history.
