A Rationalist palazzo on Piazza Matteotti opened in 1936 as the seat of the Province; now the Metropolitan City.

On Piazza Matteotti, the palazzo of the same name was opened in 1936 as the Palazzo della Provincia, as part of the renewal of the Carità district.Since 2015 it has been the seat of the Metropolitan City of Naples. Together with the nearby Post Office building, it forms one of the most interesting ensembles of 1930s architecture in Italy.
