A 16th-century palace on Via Chiaia, renovated by Ferdinando Fuga and decorated by Bardellino, Fischetti and Diano; it hosted Kauffmann and Hackert.

Palazzo Cellamare was built at the end of the 16th century just outside the city walls. It belonged to the Carafa family and in 1700 was bought by Antonio del Giudice, Prince of Cellamare, whose name it still bears. Its most famous owner was Michele Imperiali, Prince of Francavilla, known for his lavish social life: among his guests was Casanova. In 1729 Ferdinando Fuga designed the entrance arch, the rusticated façade, the ramp and the chapel, while the halls were decorated by Pietro Bardellino, Fedele and Alessandro Fischetti and Giacinto Diano. Under Ferdinand IV the palace hosted the painters Angelica Kauffmann and Philipp Hackert. We like discovering how much history hides behind this façade.
