A 16th-century palazzo on Via Toledo opposite the Galleria Umberto, linked to the librettist Francesco Berio di Salsa.

On Via Toledo, opposite the Galleria Umberto I, Palazzo Berio was built in the 16th century for the Count of Mola, Simone Vaaz, a financier and politician. It takes its name from the Marquis Francesco Berio di Salsa, poet and author of the libretto of Rossini's Otello, who in the 19th century made it a lively cultural salon. It was renovated by Luigi Vanvitelli in the 18th century.
