A Franciscan complex on Via Posillipo founded by Father Ludovico da Casoria, with two churches and majolica Stations of the Cross.

Along Via Posillipo stands the Ospizio Marino of the Grey Friars, created by Father Ludovico da Casoria by adapting a convent founded by the Piarists in 1633 and later suppressed in the 19th century. Right at the entrance we are greeted by a sculptural group commissioned by Ludovico himself for the seventh centenary of the birth of Saint Francis. The saint is shown protecting three famous Franciscan tertiaries: Dante, Giotto and Columbus. We like this complex for its wealth of history and faith: inside it holds two churches, the founder's sarcophagus and several works of art. We recommend not missing the room with the Stations of the Cross made in majolica.
