Site of the ducal dye works for woollen cloth in old Cerreto, active since the 15th century, also known as the Tenta.

Old Cerreto lived from the working of woollen cloth, and the ducal dye works, also called the Tenta, was one of its productive hearts from as early as the 15th century. Here the fabrics made in the town or brought from elsewhere were coloured, in three rooms set aside for dyeing.Around it were covered and open-air areas with the drying and stretching frames, where the freshly dyed cloth was hung out and stretched to the right size. We like to imagine this workshop together with the many private dye works of families and confraternities: a true wool district ahead of its time.
