In Villa Doria d'Angri at Posillipo, some 160 ship models and nautical instruments tied to the history of marine studies.

Since 2000 the naval museum has been housed in the Villa Doria d'Angri complex at Posillipo. It holds about 160 ship models and numerous nautical instruments used for teaching: the oldest date back to 1920, the year the institute from which the university descends was founded.Part of the material comes from the collections of the old naval Arsenals and the Cadets' School. We like it because it simply tells the scientific history of the university and the culture of the sea: we recommend combining the visit with a walk along Via Petrarca, among views of the gulf.
