The Pellegrini complex in the Pignasecca, founded in 1578 to welcome pilgrims, with two churches and works of art.

The Pellegrini complex was founded in 1578 to provide shelter and refreshment for pilgrims. It stands in the lively Pignasecca neighbourhood, a few steps from Spaccanapoli. It includes two churches: the 16th-century Santa Maria Mater Domini and the Church of the Santissima Trinità, the work of Giovanni Antonio Medrano and Carlo Vanvitelli. We like it because it combines a very rich artistic heritage with the life of the neighbourhood.
