A large urban park of about 72 hectares in Fuorigrotta, opened in 1940, combining architecture, greenery, trade fairs and events.

The Mostra d'Oltremare was inaugurated on 9 May 1940 as the Triennial Exhibition of the Italian Overseas Territories. A few years later the bombing of the Second World War badly damaged it, but the complex was reborn and is today a space unlike any other in the city.It is a vast urban park of about 720,000 square metres, where historic architecture and wide green areas live together in harmony. Buildings and open spaces host trade fairs, conferences, concerts, art exhibitions and cultural and leisure events. We like strolling among the avenues and pavilions: we recommend doing so slowly, discovering one of the most original pieces of urban heritage in Naples.
