A public garden of about 21,000 m² created in the 1920s on the site of the old arsenal, with monumental fountains and the Infantryman memorial.

The Molosiglio Gardens were created in the 1920s, during the works for the great road linking the eastern part of the city to the Riviera di Chiaia. Before that, this area was occupied by the Naples arsenal. The name comes from "molosillo", meaning a small pier, and we like how it recalls the link with the port. The garden covers about 21,000 square metres and is a green oasis a stone's throw from the sea and the Royal Palace. Inside we find several monumental fountains and a monument to the Infantryman in memory of fallen soldiers. We recommend a stop here during a walk between the centre and the seafront.
