Massimo Troisi Park in San Giovanni a Teduccio

A large 12-hectare urban park on the eastern outskirts of Naples, with a hill, a small lake and Mediterranean flora enriched by rare species.

The park was the heart of the regeneration project for the San Giovanni a Teduccio district after the 1980 earthquake. It covers about 120,000 square metres and alternates geometric paths and regular avenues with more natural views. We like to think of it as a green lung created to give space and breathing room back to the eastern outskirts.Among the main attractions are an artificial hill and an 8,000-square-metre lake, which also collects water for irrigation. We recommend looking at the vegetation: pines, holm oaks, cork oaks, magnolias and cedars live alongside unusual species such as Erythrina crista-galli and the bald cypress, typical of American swamps.
