The marine protected area of Posillipo, among submerged Roman ruins and the two islets of La Gaiola.

The Gaiola Underwater Park protects a stretch of sea below Posillipo, where the remains of Roman villas and structures lie, now underwater because of bradyseism. It takes its name from the two islets linked by a small bridge. The park can be explored by snorkelling, diving or on glass-bottom boats. Just above lies the Pausilypon archaeological park, the villa of Vedius Pollio.
