The Diocesan Seminary of Vallo della Lucania, inaugurated in 1930, houses the Diocesan Museum and the diocesan archive.

The Diocesan Seminary of Vallo della Lucania was inaugurated in 1930 by Bishop Francesco Cammarota, the latest chapter in a long history: the diocese had already had a first seminary at Teggiano in 1564, among the first founded after the Council of Trent, and later another at Novi Velia. With the new seat, the training of clergy moved to the diocesan capital.Since 1978 the first floor of the building has housed the Diocesan Museum and art gallery, founded by Bishop Giuseppe Casale, while the same complex is home to the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences and the diocesan archive. We recommend a visit to the museum to discover works of art from the churches of the Cilento.
