A Franciscan convent in Chiaia funded by a merchant from Prato, designed by Nauclerio and inaugurated in 1721.

On Via Arco Mirelli, in Chiaia, the complex of San Francesco degli Scarioni was born from the bequest of Leonardo Scarioni, a merchant from Prato who had moved to Naples. Having no heirs, he wanted all his property to be used to build a convent for sixty Franciscan nuns.Work began in 1704 to a design by Giovan Battista Nauclerio and the church was inaugurated in 1721. A fine example of 18th-century Baroque in the neighbourhood.
