The cloister of the old monastery, now part of the Federico II University, in the historic centre.

The complex of Santi Marcellino e Festo was a Benedictine convent for nuns, transformed in the 18th century. Today it belongs to the Federico II University. The cloister, with its garden and the view over the gulf from the belvedere, is a quiet corner in the heart of the historic centre. The complex is also home to the Museum of Palaeontology.
