Church in the base of San Paolo Maggiore, on the foundations of the Temple of the Dioscuri, with a 15th-century Crucifix.

In the base of the basilica of San Paolo Maggiore, at the foot of the ancient Roman Temple of the Dioscuri, lies hidden the church of the Santissimo Crocifisso, known as "la Sciabica". On the façade traces of Roman masonry in opus reticulatum can still be seen.Inside, with three aisles, the 19th-century altar is surmounted by a 15th-century Crucifix with the Madonna and Saint John. In the 1960s it was connected to the nearby sanctuary of San Gaetano.
