Church of the Sacro Cuore on Via Roma
- Visit: about 20 min

The mother church of Bellizzi, built in the mid-20th century as the first place of worship of the young town community.
To get to know the soul of Bellizzi, we suggest starting from the Church of the Sacro Cuore (Sacred Heart), the town's mother church. Its history is as young as the town's: it was built in the years around the Second World War, when the settlement was taking shape on the plain between Salerno and Battipaglia, and became the community's first place of worship. We like to see it as a symbol of the commitment of the generation that founded Bellizzi, so much so that over the years it has repeatedly been nominated in FAI's Luoghi del Cuore census. Step inside quietly: it is a place lived in every day, the heart of parish life and the town's festivals.
