Eighteenth-century Vincentian church on via Vergini, linked to the arrival of the Missionary Fathers in Naples in 1669.

On via Vergini, not far from the Archaeological Museum, stands the church of the Missione, part of the monumental Vincentian complex. The Missionary Fathers came to Naples in 1669 at the invitation of Cardinal Innico Caracciolo; among them was Father Cosimo Galilei, nephew of Galileo. In the 18th century, thanks to donations from the Duchess of Sant'Elia, the church was built and later dedicated to Saint Vincent de Paul. It is one of the great complexes of the Borgo dei Vergini.
